If you read my last blog, you know that as a newbie photographer, I haven’t been treading slowly into this new territory. As the saying goes, I jumped right into the deep end and photographed my first wedding solo, without a second shooter and without second shooting experience. I wasn’t sure of anything, except for the trust others placed in me. And I definitely had no idea that it would be as exhilirating as it was.

A couple weeks after jumping in, I was the second shooter for a wedding in Livermore. Weeks earlier, a fabulous photographer, Danielle from D. Lillian Photography, had asked me to join her at the wedding. At the time she asked me, she knew I had limited experience, but again, placed a huge amount of trust in my abilities. Having looked at her amazing work, I was truly grateful that she believed in me and I was uber excited to learn from her and see her in action. So, on August 6th, I escaped the SF fog and headed to the Livermore heat to share in Matt & Jodi’s wedding day. Held at a beautiful winery, the outdoor ceremony was intentionally short so that the bride & groom could focus on celebrating with their closest family & friends.

Danielle, thank you so much for asking me to join you. I had a great time working with you & I look forward to the next time.
