One of the best things about being a photographer is the opportunity to truly get to know people and see them come to life while photographing them in locations that are meaningful to them. After Sally and Hattie’s Engagement Session in their neighborhood and home (with their kitty), I was even more excited about their wedding day. With their brunch wedding scheduled to take place at Trou Normand, Sally and Hattie wanted to begin their day with photos just around the corner at the SF MOMA, which made my photography heart jump up and down. A full hour… just the three of us… and we got there right when the museum opened, allowing us some uninterrupted space. It was such a perfect way to begin the day… slow and steady, allowing them space to breathe before the excitement of celebrations with family.

Once we arrived at Trou Normand, final touches were being made for the ceremony and reception, and guests began arriving. Brunch was being carefully prepared as the couple said their vows; champagne toasts followed after the celebratory kiss; coffee was being enjoyed alongside craft cocktails; and even after the food, everyone managed to make room for the wedding donuts. Talk about a perfect day.

Sally and Hattie, thanks for trusting me with your day and sending me home with donuts! You know the way to my heart!
