Tahoe is right down the road from my hometown of Sacramento, but except for a few snow camping experiences, we rarely visited. My mom grew up in the snow, so she was never a fan. And none of us have ever been interested in learning how to ski.

My idea of fun in the snow includes hot chocolate, a warm fire, snow angels, and friendly faces. So when Marcie, a good friend of mine and amazing photographer, needed photos of her family’s cabin in Tahoe, I gladly offered to help. One week later I was relaxing fireside at their amazing cabin with my family. Perfect long weekend getaway!
