Stop me if I’ve mentioned this before… But being a “second photographer” is an interesting gig. You get asked to photograph a wedding alongside another photographer, and most of the time you don’t know anything about the couple getting married. So when I show up to the getting ready location, I have no idea what to expect, and that’s when my nerves start getting the best of me. But as soon as the door opens and I meet the bride, the groom, or members of the wedding party, my nerves fade away just as fast as they came. The smiles, excitement, nerves and happy anticipation I am greeted with is always electric and I immediately feel privileged to be in that space and document a beautiful day in their lives.

Such was the case with Ryan and Courtney’s wedding. In August, I was privileged to assist Diana Rothery in documenting a portion of their wedding day at Radonich Ranch in Los Gatos. Ryan and Courtney are certainly a gem of a couple.
