It’s true… There is no doubt that I am a daddy’s girl.
While most kids call for their mothers when they’re sick, I would call for my dad.
At 16, when I failed my driver’s license test, he was right there, ready to comfort me.
When I earned my scuba diver certification, my dad not only waited for me on the beach, but also went out to find me coffee, hot chocolate, gatorade and water, because he wasn’t sure what I was going to need between dives.
When my car broke down in the middle of driving home from college one evening, he drove 1.5 hours to fix my car in the middle of the night.
And when I found myself in two car accidents at the height of my master’s degree stress, he dropped everything, drove to SF just to pick me up and take me home for the weekend, and take me right back when the weekend was over.
My dad may be a man of little words, but they’re all the right ones. I’m certain my sisters and I got the best father a girl could ever have and we are beyond blessed.
Happy father’s day, dad!! I love you so much!!
And just because every post is better with a photo, here’s a sneak peek from last weekend. Baby Marisol with her father, Jorge. Happy father’s day to you, Jorge! I hope you’re enjoying your weekend with your two precious daughters.
