One year ago, on our sixth anniversary, we both willingly chose to commit ourselves and our lives to each other in front of the people that mean the most to us.

While seven years is just the beginning, seven years is a long time to love someone, and committing to continue loving that same person takes courage and strength.

Not long after we made this commitment, we saw days where loving each other did not come easy, but every day we’re learning how to be truthful to each other. And every day I pray that we always make it through the hard times. I pray that we continue to learn how to be brave in front of each other. I pray that we continue to love each other, even after sharing the dark realities inside of us. But mostly, I pray that our love and marriage becomes a conduit for God’s will and love… that God’s work is revealed through our relationship and our individual lives.

I didn’t know that I could love you more than I did one year ago, but I most definitely do.
